Inversions ask a lot of the neck, and a folded mat is not a plan. This contoured pad takes the head in a shaped recess with the shoulders bearing on dense foam either side - the setup that lets yoga and calisthenics athletes build headstand volume safely. Firm enough to be stable, soft enough to hold position in.
